Meow-Aid is a volunteer-driven organization, and our volunteers are our lifeblood. We want your volunteer experience to serve as an outlet for your talents and passions, resulting in a rewarding experience for you, our cats and the rest of the organization. Our volunteer base consists of 35 dedicated people, and we are continuing to grow stronger with each new addition to our team! We think Meow-Aid has the best volunteers anywhere. Our volunteers are professionals, retirees, mothers, fathers, and students; like you, all of them want to find the perfect balance between home life, work life, and community life. The rewards of volunteering can be boundless and will unfold in countless ways as you begin to interact with and care for our cats.
Meow-Aid's encourages it's volunteers to choose a role that compliments your talents, interests, and schedule. All we ask of our volunteers is that they choose a role that they feel passionate about, and that they
follow through on their volunteer commitment. We offer a couple of roles to choose from, which include working with the public, another working directly with the cats, or a combination of the two. Most of the volunteer roles have time commitments that range between 2 - 4 hours per week, with a choice of shifts.

Kitty Care Givers: This position involves working with the cats that are boarded at our shelter. It includes maintaining the well-being of the cats by cleaning out their cages and litterboxes, changing food and water, and providing much needed TLC. Each shift also includes general shelter cleaning duties, including laundry, restocking of food and litter, etc...It all benefits the cats! Please phone the shelter with your interest.
Fundraising: The newest position, this role will work create, staff, implement, and manage various NEW fundraising events every year. If you are interested in raising funds for our shelter please send an email using the form on the "Contact Us" page.
