Tessa Tessa

This nervous wreck is 10-year old Tessa. Unfortunately her original owner developed an allergy to her and had to find her another home. Fortunately for me, I was looking for another cat after my old cat buddy Winston passed away from cancer. I contacted Meow-Aid and told them I was looking to provide an older cat with a quiet retirement home. Val put me in touch with Tessa's mom (but only after an interview worthy of CSIS applicants). Tessa, her mom, and I eventually met and we all hit it off right away.

I brought Tessa home and she spent the first couple of days under my bed. However, it wasn't long before she took over the chores of managing her new apartment. She spends sunny days in her favourite sunbeam on the deck and rainy days (and every night) under any loose blanket or pillow. Oh, and did I mention that apparently dinner MUST be served promptly at 5:30?

I was worried she might be skittish or stand-offish. I needn't have worried. She is very social with my friends – especially those who don't particularly like cats, or are wearing something that really shows off cat hair well. She has also met two very big, very goofy dogs on two separate occasions with absolutely no concern whatsoever. After an initial nose-touch – which she initiated – she simply walked away without ever giving either of them a second look. That must've really hurt their feelings because the stunned looks on their faces were hilarious! Apparently dogs are just a waste of fur and not worth her time.

I kept in touch with Tessa's original mom and assured her that her little buddy is doing very well. I'm passing that same assurance on to you nice people at Meow-Aid.

Thanks again, Meow-Aid – especially you, Val.
